The EU Taxonomy is a classification system designed to identify environmentally sustainable economic activities. It consists of three key components:
EU Taxonomy Assessment Forms
ESG Building Data
EU Taxonomy Dashboard
Each component plays a critical role in supporting organizations throughout their EU Taxonomy compliance journey.
At BuildingMinds, we currently cover Section 7.7 – Acquisition and Ownership of Buildings. This is just the beginning: our product will continue to evolve, expanding coverage to additional activities in the future to ensure comprehensive alignment with EU sustainability regulations.
The personas most directly involved with EU Taxonomy regulations include sustainability experts, compliance officers, and real estate portfolio managers.
How these roles interact depends on your organizational setup:
Case 1: Centralized Team
In this case, the sustainability managers/ ESG managers, and portfolio managers are mostly responsible for creating the reports on a building level and reporting the outcome to the CFO via the dashboard.
Case 2: Decentralized Team
In this case, the property managers are responsible for assessing the building level, but ESG managers/ sustainability managers are accountable for the outcome on a portfolio level.
