The Sites page is where you manage the main land parcels or real-estate locations in your portfolio. Each site includes its basic identifying details and acts as the top-level place where all buildings on that site are grouped.
Unlike buildings, sites do not include energy data, or additional information. Their purpose is simply to define the highest level of your asset structure.
You can create new sites only from the Sites Overview page.
Select the Data management icon from the left menu.
Select the Sites under Related assets.
You can add a new site from the global Sites list by selecting + Add.
To create a site, you need one of the following permissions:
The global-site-creator role
An Admin role with Create sites permission
When you start creating a site, a form opens with the following sections:
Object information
This section contains the essential attributes of the site:
Site name: The name of the site. (Required)
Site code: Your internal or portfolio-specific identifier.
Valid from / Valid until: The active period for the site data. (Required)
Type: The type of the site (e.g., Campus, Plot).
Status: Indicates whether the site is active, under development, or in another lifecycle state.
Address information
This section lets you enter the site's official address. Adding this information ensures the site appears correctly on maps and supports downstream data processes:
Country
City
Street
ZIP code
When you select a site from the Sites list, you’ll land on the Site detail page. This page is organized into cards, each grouped by topic:
Images
Address
Object information
Buildings: Shows all buildings under the site
Area measurements
Each card can be edited on its own. This lets you keep your site information organized and makes it easy to update only what you need, without navigating long forms.
You can remove a site directly from the Sites list using the delete icon in its row. A site can only be deleted if it doesn’t have any buildings linked to it. If buildings still exist under the site, you’ll need to delete them first.
To delete a site:
Go to the list of sites.
Hover over the row of the site you want to delete.
Click the Delete icon at the end of the row.
Confirm the deletion.
Site access is controlled by permissions set up in the Admin Panel.
